Regarding compensation for Palestinian losses, I agree this should work for everyone. Both the Palestinians and the Jews who were forced to flee their homes should be compensated by those responsible.

Actually and legally, anything that happens to each and every single Palestinian is the fault and responsibility of the Israeli government. Bound by law, especially since they signed the Fourth Geneva Convention - Sucks eh?

Palestinians can't get into Jordan? Jordan is mostly Palestinian, 40% by Jordanian estimates and 60% by others. Exactly how many people should the rest of the Middle East incorporate (in a half assed, discriminatory way) so that Israeli society can feel normal?
Israel murders plenty of Palestinians without a trial. Israel takes much more advantage of Palestinians than does the PLO. The PLO steals money and does little, but it is nothing when compared to Israeli crimes. Is it any wonder that Hamas is winning votes by feeding and clothing Palestinians as well as building schools.
And the US has a great responsibility in this, as it has given Israel, since 1949, $134,791,507,200 (yeah, that's about 135 trillion). Oh how they have helped us.
Sure, Israel will get credit for a thriving Palestinian society, credit for finally having the courage to stay out of it and allowing them to direct their lives, without demonizing or deifying them.

The PLO was famous for thuggery - going around beating Palestinians who dared to criticise it.
If the Palestinians want any sympathy from the rest of the world, they need to present their case in a better manner than blowing up their young men and cutting out the organs of freshly killed Isreali soldiers and running with them in hand, yelling and screaming, through the streets.

The Arabs invented Algebra (along with the Greeks), early alchemy. The Muslims built great architectural structures, started the first Universities, (Socrates started schools not universities). The Palestinians have built a nation out of camps. Israel has existed at the behest of first Britain and now America. Moshes Dayan and the Irgun used the same tactics as Hammas does. It worked for the Irgun and it will work for the Palestinians. The Israelis like the Germans make bad occupiers.
In order for there to be peace the United States needs to have a balanced foreign policy in the middle east. The Israelis need to start to become a responsible member of the International community (no nations has violated more UN resolutions) and the Palestinians need to learn to live in peace with their neighbours.
