Past right and wrong, beyond dreams and disappointments …. The hex unravels

ihath can't act either

As if it wasn't bad enough that I have proven that I can't paint and that I can't dance in the past. I decided for the first time to prove that I can't act either.

“Palestine, Israel and Me: A Power Play"

The event

Jews for a Just Peace and the Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Church of Vancouver, endorsed by the Canada Palestine Association and the Palestine Community Centre of BC, will work with Headlines Theatre to prepare and present a "Power Play" Forum Theatre event in late April / early May 2006 about the struggle for peace and justice in Israel / Palestine and its effects on communities in Canada.

Opening performances : May 5th and 7th at 7:30 pm
Unitarian Church of Vancouver, 49th and Oak

The pitch
We need your help to make this project a success. We have some money. We need to raise more.
· We need to pay for the services of Headlines Theatre, who will facilitate the development of the Power Play.
· We need to pay rent on the space where we will conduct the workshop.
· We need to provide lunch and a small honorarium for the 12 to 20 people who will be working hard for a week in the workshop.
· We need to publicize the event well to encourage good audiences, and invitations to other venues.
The bottom line
· Please consider giving “Palestine, Israel and Me: A Power Play” your generous financial support.
· You will receive a receipt for tax purposes at the end of the year for your charitable donation.
· Please make cheques out to The Unitarian Church of Vancouver, and be sure to label them clearly “Power Play”.
· Send to “Power Play”, Attention: Ravina Sangara, Unitarian Church of Vancouver, 949 West 49th, Vancouver, BC V5Z 2T1.

Ihath,
I love reading what you have to say, and even though I, an Israeli, and have a different point of veiw at times, I respect yours and listen to it judgement-free. I have always had arab-Israeli friends and can speak arabic quite well. I enjoy Celebrating our similarities, which outnumber our differences. I am looking forward to seeing the play.

So, what can you do? Write stories?

Waiting for a story...
