i have alwayes been thinking about learning dancing!
for me as an arab, it seems weird i know ...
but, i wonder how come you alwayes like flamanco?!

Sorry I have not emailed you back, but you look wonderful in that dress and I would love to see your flamenco. I know so little about any kind fo dancing and I am completely uncoordinated myself.

Gamal> I always thought flamenco was rooted in the Moorish influence on Spain. Granted Moorish is not Arabic, but a beautiful culture (as I can judge just from looking at Ghadames, Libya) and I think the guitar is Arabic in root....kind of funny that American country music is only possible due to Islam.

Nah.

If flamenco is a Moorish influence, then, moorish was completely influenced by Indian dances.

Flamenco is mainly a Gipsy influence. And gipsies come from India.

Same with the guitar. Cultural influences don“t stop in the Mideast.
